Tomoyo Nonaka

Tomoyo Nonaka After completing the first stage of her Ph.D. course at the postgraduate school of Sophia University in Tokyo, Ms. Nonaka went to study at Columbia University postgraduate school (specializing in photojournalism). Since returning to Japan she has worked as a freelance journalist while also appearing as a TV newscaster (NHK's "Overseas Weekly" and "Sunday Sports Special", TV Tokyo's "World Business Satellite", and others). Since 1987 she has been a guest professor at Chukyo Women's University, giving courses on "Communication Theory". She has also sat on a number of government body committees, including the Finance Ministry's Financial System Council.
