Experiencing the ultimate in song, dance and music
4th Tokyo International Music Festival
On June 28th and 29th, the "4th Tokyo
International Music Festival Japan-South Korea Friendship Pop Concert"
was held in Hall A. It featured the Super World Orchestra, bringing
the top players from world-famous orchestras together under one roof.
Backed by this world-beating accompaniment, we heard the wonderful
singing voices of Japan's Hiroshi Itsuki, Taeko Onuki, and Miho Karasawa,
along with Yun Sona from South Korea. Meanwhile, Chihiro Nishijima
and Masami Fukushima, dancers from the Star Dancers Ballet Company,
graced the stage with some beautiful choreography. The audience seems
to have been more than satisfied by the rich and varied content of
this event.

The orchestra was as magnificent as we had expected." (Couple
from Yokohama) |
| |
"We were invited by our friends, and didn't know what to expect.

Hearing Hiroshi Itsuki backed by such an orchestra was just fantastic."

"What an excellent concert. The orchestra was great, and it
was wonderful to hear Taeko Onuki singing along to an acoustic guitar.
It really matched the clarity of her voice." (Two women from
Kanagawa Prefecture and Kamata) |
| |
"We know the songs from West Side Story, so we really enjoyed
it. The dancing in time to the music was also excellent." (Two
women from the Tokyo area) |
| |
"We wish we could have seen more ballet. We often come to the
Tokyo International Forum for film previews and so on. It's a beautiful
facility, as well as being easy to get to." (Two women from the
Tokyo area) |

"The mixture between western and Japanese styles was interesting."
"I'm really interested in ballet, so I was glad some dancing
