"
As a part of UNIQLO's T-shirt project, we held this
UNIQLO Portraits all in T-shirts
Exhibition from 4/11 (Fri) till 4/20 (Sun). We framed
up huge portraits with the size of 7.5m~5.0m all over
the Glass Building window. It made a huge impact. The
Glass Building is
the symbol of Tokyo International Forum, but I think
the clarity of the glass and the light made the portraits
even more lively.
The portraits were taken by Nobuyoshi Araki . (well
known as "Genius Ara-ki-").
There were 12 models from all quarters like Eiko Koike,
Masatoshi Nagase.
This too became a topic of conversation. We were able
to accomplish our aim to express the charm of T-shirts
that change their aspects once you wear them, and to
show them to
many people for free. The whole idea of communicating
with the customers through portraits was a success.
Voices like "I was surprised!" "Amusing"
were given.
To evolve a brand new method in the Glass Building which
hasn't been used like this
before was outstanding. We believe the our decision
of choosing the Glass Building was
a big success." |
