A new flower space for Tokyo - "Hana Ippin"!

A completely new flower space, "Hana Ippin", has appeared in a location that is surely the "face of the Tokyo International Forum". The concept of "Hana Ippin" is to present "flowers at their very best". Long-lasting flowers, supported by good soil and sunlight management as well attention to shape and form, are simply a wonder to behold. "Hana Ippin" seizes the moment as flowers reach their peak in the process of growth, and delivers flowers of the highest quality from all over Japan as they reach that moment. At the "Special Consultation Counter", customers can drink herb tea while discussing their requirements for flower orders with expert designers. "Hana Ippin" is a flower space designed for you.

Events to Commemorate the Incorporation of the Tokyo International Forum

On July 1st, the Tokyo International Forum will be privatized under the new name of "Tokyo International Forum Co., Ltd.". To commemorate this, various events will be held in various parts of the facility.

Tokyo International Forum Co., Ltd. Launch Commemorative Event - Glass Building Installation
Venue: Glass Building
Dates: July 7th (Mon.) - 19th (Sat.), 2003 (to be confirmed)
The Glass Building transformed into a massive art space measuring 60 by 200 meters! On July 7th (the day of the Tanabata Festival), an installation will appear in the image of the universe and the launch of the new Tokyo International Forum. Admission free!

To commemorate the incorporation of the Tokyo International Forum, 200 students under the age of 25 will be given complimentary tickets to the show. Please apply!

Please write your name, address, age and name of educational institution on a postcard, and mail it to the address below (1 application per postcard). If oversubscribed, applicants will be selected by drawing lots. The Tokyo International Forum is about to change.
Forum to be privatized
As of July 1st, 2003, the Tokyo International Foundation will transfer its business to the Tokyo International Forum Co., Ltd., which was established in April. The aim of changing the management style to a public limited company is to increase profitability and efficiency in future, as well as improving services. Existing applications for use of the facilities will be transferred in their entirety to the new company. Existing applicants and prospective users need take no further action.

News bulletin also to change
FORUM FORUM, which has continued to inform the public of events at the Tokyo International Forum since it opened, will also undergo a total overhaul with the privatization of the facility. The proposed name for the new journal will be "Forumist". With this, we hope to bring even fresher, even more varied information than before, and look forward to your continued support.
