To study in the various
sides of the medicine, care, and welfare for elderly
with interdisciplinary collaboration, exchanging
the results internationally for developing this
field of study are the main purposes of "The 7th
Asia /Oceania Regional Congress of Gerontology".
19 countries and 1 region from Asia / Oceania
are expected to join this congress. Each country
will exchange its result of the study in this
field through the exhibition of academic researches,
medical and health care devices, keynote speech,
symposium, and presentation, and authorities hope
that it would help development of Gerontology.
As Japan became one of the aging societies, the
level of Gerontology is high and measures for
elderly problems are developed comparatively,
and for that reason, many countries have shown
great interest.
On Wednesday 26th November, symposium called "Providing
a care, nursing and medicine for whom in need
in the area" will be held. It is for the citizens
of Tokyo, and making reservations are requested.
This is a chance to learn the reality of elderly
care, and how to deal with it.
