Even though the role of venture business that has bravely started their new business is getting bigger, their reality is not wide spread well enough to the public. "Venture Fair Japan 2004" is an event to show and introduce products, services of venture companies for recognition and encouragement and to support trade outlets and creating partnerships. "The 27th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons" will start with its concept of "The begging of the new Japanese Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons". As a part of it the Citizens Extension Lecture is held to invite many from the public to take part.

Once the visual cell of the retina damages, you will lose sight. But if the retinal ganglion cell, which is in the inner side is still unharmed, there is a chance of vision by artificial retina. The artificial retina, which is aimed to complete in a few years, is still in a process of animal experiment, but there are notable achievements. The present actual conditions and the perspective will be introduced in this extension lecture. Bring your friends and take part.

The "Kosodate-Salon" where parents rasing children can "easily and pleasingly" contact and associate with each other is wide spreading all over Japan.The "Kosodate-Salon" is expected to reduce the anxiety and stress over raising children and to strengthen the sense of community and welfare through the engagement with other people and institutes. In this all Japan forum, The Japanese Council of Social Welfare will introduce the study results of the three-year survey research of diffusion of "Kosodate-Salon". And in the section meeting, there will be introductions of activity examples from all over Japan, and also courses to improve levels of people who are related with the "Kosodate-Salon".

People who are raising their children or involved in volunteering, social working, child committee, public administration, Social Council and interested in the "Kosodate-Salon", please come and join.

For the 7th International Workshop on Geo-environmental Restoration, instructors from Japan, USA and Taiwan will be invited to make talks over the theme "Tidal stream caused by soil environment-What has changed after the enforcement of the Anti-Ground Pollution Law?" Through lectures of systems and actual conditions of Japan and other countries, and through panel discussions, there will be a lot of information exchanges about the social concerns of ground subsoil water pollution.
