Meet the sounds which touch your heart
The show has been its 22nd round this year since it first started as an imported audio show in 1983. Since then the show has introduced the cutting edge technologies and cultures of the world through the exhibition of excellent audio products. Since 1997, under the new title of the exhibition, some competitive Japanese products have also been exhibited with the overseas counterparts, making the show more international, substantial, and attractive to those working in the audio business worldwide. The exhibition allows visitors to thoroughly enjoy the difference of the sounds, which can be created only by full-scale audio equipments, in the very relaxing atmosphere of the Tokyo International Forum. The exhibition is full of attraction not only to satisfy enthusiastic audio fans but also to contribute to further growth and development of the audio market. A special lecture under the title of eThe Super Audio Generation has finally arrived, will be held on Friday Sep 24, at 14:00.

Exhibition of Knowledge from University Research
Cutting edge technologies from universities around Japan will gather together for Innovation Japan 2004. This is the first nation-wide event for industry and academia to find the partner for their new business. The goal is to establish a powerful foundation that will support Japanese industry in the future. Another goal is to nurture 1,000 university launched plans for companies, a government initiative. The exhibition introduces the intellectual properties of leading technologies from universities in Japan in a number of areas: nanotechnology, materials, medicine, biotechnology, information technology, environment-related issues, and production technology, etc. In order to encourage partnership among industries, academia, and government, many events are planned during the exhibition. Events include a panel discussion with the presidents of the major universities, lectures to introduce new technologies by exhibitors from universities, and seminars for management, which are crucial for university-oriented business ventures.

An exhibition for next generation software
IPAX Autumn 2004 is organized by the Information-Technology Promotion Agency (IPA), a government institution that develops programs to facilitate and advance IT processing. IPA implements new projects to encourage the growth of IT processing in Japan. In 2000, IPA started a new software creation project. The project goal is to locate new researchers or groups of researchers -- super creators -- with excellent ability and unique talent. Super creators have the potential to create an IT market for the next generation. We encourage their research, helping the development of software that will create new markets. IPAX Autumn 2004 will exhibit software developed by the super creators. In addition, IPAX will display software such as the finished products of the project on maintaining the infrastructure to use open source software in fiscal 2003 and the project on information security. Lectures on software development will also be held.
