Enjoy an extra quality moment on the way back from work again this year
This chamber concert, “Music Oasis,” was also well received in autumn and winter last year and will be performed in the lobby gallery of the glass wing. Four series of performances, each of which will have a different format will be presented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. The first one will focus on Christmas-related songs, including some Mozart pieces which will be the theme of “LA FOLLE JOURNEE” next year. Please enjoy heart-warming music on the way back from work or shopping.

The vitality of Edo comes alive at the Flea Market
A big festival, “Tenka Matsuri,” which was enjoyed by the shogun during the Edo Era, was revived in 2003 as the “Edo Tenka Matsuri,” in commemoration with the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Edo Government. It was full of events with an Edo atmosphere, such as parading/exhibiting floats and miniature shrines and food stands where you could enjoy the food culture of Edo. This year, a flea market called the “Chiyoda Nomi-no Ichi” will enhance the forum with its power. “Art Flea Market,” held at the same time, will exhibit handicrafts and original art. In the center of present Tokyo, come feel the active culture of the common people of Edo.
